Pokemon Legends: Arceus is an action role-playing game, the first of its kind in the main Pokémon series. Legends: Arceus is said to preserve the core gameplay of previous entries in the series despite this distinction and the changes that come with it. A vast open world setting builds on the Wild Area introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield. In the game, you play as a Pokemon trainer in a bygone era of the Sinnoh region's history, when it was known as the Hisui region, long before the events of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl take place. It was stated that the objective of the game was to create Hisui's first Pokédex. The mythical Pokémon Arceus will have a significant role in the story.

STORY

Once you receive an assignment or request and prepare for your next excursion, you'll leave the village to study one of the different areas of the Hisui region. Once your survey work is completed, you'll return once more to prepare for your next excursion.
Besides the Galaxy Team HQ and your own lodgings, Jubilife Village includes a number of useful institutions and services, including a trading post where you can exchange Pokémon.
Gameplay

A new Pokemon has appeared
During the live event, Game Freak announced a new and exclusive Pokémon in the mountains of Hisui.
- Wyrdeer: An evolved form of Stantler in the Hisui region of the Normal/Psychic system. They have antlers that can release psychic energy. People in the area also appreciate them greatly.
- Basculegion: The evolved form of Basculin, of the Water/Ghost type. Basculins evolve only when their souls are possessed by those of other Basculins. They possess extraordinary physical strength and a great will to fight.
- Kleavor: Evolutionary form of Scythe, a Bug/Rock hybrid. Normally, Scythers would evolve into Scizor, but the minerals in Hisui allowed them to evolve into Kleavor. One of the most noticeable characteristics is the stiffness of the parts and the large arm that acts like a giant ax.
Hisuian Voltorb, Hisuian Zorua, Hisuian Zoroak, Hisuian Braviary, and Hisuian Growlithe are other regional forms. Finaly, the legendary Pokémon are Darkrai, Shaymin (Land Form) and Arceus.
