The Material Notification Shade app will make your device stand out
Make your device stand out with a ton of customization on top of the Android Oreo features.
This is a replacement for your stock notification panel. By swiping down to reveal your notifications, the app provides you with a custom quick settings menu.

Panel for quick settings
- You can change the color of the quick settings panel's background or foreground (icons).
- The color of the brightness slider can be changed.
- In the shade, you can display your own profile picture.
- Change grid layout (i.e. number of columns and rows) in quick settings.
Optional root
As the app doesn't change anything on your system, it has limited power in the quick settings area (you can't toggle mobile data or location services, so it opens the settings page). The settings can be controlled by granting root access, however.
