Certainly, the Google Camera and its post-processing algorithms have changed the game for what we expect from smartphone cameras, elevating the Google Pixel to be one of the best Android cameras on the market.

That is why Google Camera ports are so highly requested for non-Google devices.

If you use a ported Google Camera app, you can use Google's superior HDR+ optimization and Portrait Mode on virtually any smartphone that supports the Camera2API.

What is the Gcam All Ports APK?

Google Camera, or GCam, is the default camera app on Google Pixel smartphones. What can we do if our Android device doesn't have a pixel camera? In this case, Google Camera Ports are useful. These Gcam Ports will enable us to use the exact same Google Camera app on our device and enjoy all the features that are available in Pixels' camera.

Android smartphones will all come with a built-in camera application. The manufacturers of these smartphones will develop the apps. The way in which these apps capture images differs depending on how they process the images. Google Camera has the best quality, detail, and size when it comes to image processing.

What is the purpose of Google Camera?

Google Camera's image processing is always amazing, and the way in which it does it is just amazing. Two identical photos taken with two different cameras, one with a stock camera, one with Google Camera, will have a higher photo quality and more details on the image taken with Google Camera. Our camera sensor is exactly the same. This is all done by software.

Features of the Gcam All Ports APK

There are several features in Gcam that can be activated on the Settings page or on the row of icons at the top of the app.

The Pixel Visual/Neutral Core

Google's camera uses hardware accelerators to process images. As a result, the camera module performs better and more efficiently. Pixel Visual Core is a series of ARM-based SiP image processors designed by Google that enhance the performance of cameras.

HDR+

The purpose of HDR+ on Gcam is to take continuous burst shots with short exposures to achieve a higher dynamic range. In addition, it reduces noise, improves color, and eliminates motion blur and blowing out highlights.

Enhanced HDR+

Enhanced HDR+ mode captures images after the shutter is pressed, a feature known as positive shutter lag (PSL). The dynamic range is increased and the Night Sight learning-based AWB algorithm is used.

HDR+ Live

Live HDR+ features WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get), allowing a real-time preview of HDR+ mode. Additionally, it uses the learning-based AWB algorithm from Night Sight.

A dual exposure control system

Live HDR+ uses double exposure control for brightness (capture exposure) and shadows (tone mapping). It is only available on high-end devices.

Motion Photos

As with Live Photos in iOS, Motion Photos from the Google Camera function similarly. The original photo is accompanied by a short, silent, relatively low resolution video when it is enabled. In HDR+ enhanced mode, however, it is not functional.

Stabilization of video

Google Camera uses a technique called Fused Video Stabilization that combines optical image stabilization and electronic/digital image stabilization. Additionally, this technique corrects other problems such as Rolling shutter distortion and Focus breathing.

Zoom in super-high-resolution

Only high-end devices can use this feature. Multi-frame super-resolution techniques are used to achieve higher resolution, equivalent to 2-3x optical zoom. Depending on the device and its hardware, this feature may not be available in all ports.

The starburst

Holding the shutter button for a few seconds will activate the Smartbrust feature. The camera will take ten photos per second. The best picture will be highlighted automatically once it is released.

Additionally, it can create a variety of media using snaps.

  • GIF with movement: You can create an animated GIF from an image with a lot of movement to capture your action.
  • The feature is fantastic, all smiles. A group photo can be taken with everyone smiling and not blinking if different parts of each picture are taken.
  • Collage: When taking a 'selfie,' a collage is created similar to one taken in a Photobooth.

Top Shot

The Top shot is a feature from the Google Pixel 3. This mode is available only on the high-ended device, depending on the type of port by the developer. It analyzes up to 90 additional frames from 1.5 seconds before and after the shutter is pressed, while Motion Photos is enabled.

Other features

  • Computational Raw: This feature allows you to capture JPEG and DNG files simultaneously.
  • Motion Auto Focus: It maintains the focus on any object in the frame.
  • Frequent Faces: Google camera can remember your face. This feature helps Gcam to try to capture your smiling face without blinking.
  • Location: Location can be added to your picture if the GPS is on while capturing the moments.

How does GCam Module perform better than other OEM's camera apps?

This is because the GCam uses some libraries that are not available to other manufacturers. In order to use the camera module, they must develop their own libraries. Many developers from the XDA community have been working on porting the GCam app to other devices. Below is a list of GCam ports, as well as the download links!

Ports on GCam are device-specific. It is not possible to use a random GCam app on your phone. It depends on the application's port and also on the smartphone's compatibility.
