Defend your freedom from despair
An American Midwest town known as Racoon City has been experiencing strange disappearances. A specialist squad of the police force known as S.T.A.R.S. has been investigating the case, and has determined that the pharmaceutical company Umbrella and their biological weapon, the T-Virus, were responsible for the incidents — even though a number of officers have been killed. When Jill Valentine and the other surviving members of S.T.A.R.S. try to make this truth known, they find that their reports are rejected by the police department under the sway of Umbrella.
A grisly "cannibal virus" soon spreads through the town, and vicious dogs roam the streets. Jill is determined to survive the viral plague, which has spread to her doorstep.

Jill Valentine
Jill's Delta Force training made her the perfect Rear Security for the Raccoon Police Department's special forces team, S.T.A.R.S., and her knack for picking locks and handling explosives have made her a top team member. As a result of the shambling corpses and monstrous creatures they encountered while investigating reports of missing persons in what has become known as the Mansion Incident, Jill is one of few survivors.
A survivor of that incident, Jill is determined to continue investigating Umbrella, the creators of the deadly T-Virus at the center of the incident, but her investigation has been hampered by her suspension and an order to remain at home. Carlos Oliveira
With a team of veteran mercenaries from around the world, U.B.C.S. was more than capable of completing the assignment. As a guerrilla fighter, Carlos has fought countless battles. He is able to use any weapon, and pilot almost any vehicle.
In less than two days, after entering the city, the platoon found itself in a situation far more dangerous than the one on which they had been briefed: A mysterious virus had spread at an unimaginable rate, and the platoon was all but wiped out.

Mikhail Victor
He has excellent leadership skills and a long history as a platoon leader. Mikhail is a member of Umbrella's private military unit, U.B.C.S. The Umbrella Delta Platoon led by Mikhail has entered Raccoon City on a mission to rescue civilians, but the chaos encountered there has exceeded all expectations, decimating the platoon and causing Mikhail personal injuries. Mikhail, however, is committed to saving every civilian he can reach, and refuses to retreat until he has achieved this goal.
Nicholai Ginovaef
Nicholai is a member of Umbrella's private military unit, U.B.C.S., and the leader of its Delta Platoon, B-Squad. He previously served in Spetsnaz in the Soviet Union, where he acquired spectacular combat skills. Additionally, he has an incredible survival record, walking away from operations that were thought to have been wiped out by an insurmountable threat. Nicholai is cold-blooded and cool-headed, and he'll do whatever it takes to reach his objective—or make a profit.
Nemesis
During the panic over the spreading disease, this hulking monstrosity was dropped into Raccoon City.
A gigantic figure shrouded in black and delivered via a heavily reinforced capsule, this new Umbrella-made bioweapon is based on the formidable Tyrant series, addressing its few weaknesses. Two vast improvements in particular stand out: its ability to make decisions for itself, determining how best to achieve its goals; and its regeneration abilities, which allow it to continue stalking the battlefield despite any harm it may suffer.
It is Nemesis' mission to exterminate all members of S.T.A.R.S. in Raccoon City. Their knowledge of Umbrella is a great threat.
