AetherSX2 is an emulator for Android of the PS Two console. It is possible to play games that you have dumped from discs on your portable device.
Playing games requires a BIOS image, which is not optional. You should use a homebrew application to dump this image from your console.
To achieve good performance, you need a high-end device. We recommend at least a Snapdragon 845-equivalent model. It means 4 large cores (Cortex-A75 level, 500 or more single cores in Geekbench 5). If you only have two big cores (e.g. Snapdragon 700 series SoCs), you should not enable multi-threaded VU, as performance will suffer.
While Mali or PowerVR GPUs will run the app, its performance will be much lower than Adreno GPUs, and the Vulkan renderer will not be available. As a result, they lack an essential feature (dual-source blending).

It should only be used to play games you own and have dumped from disc yourself. With a tool such as ImgBurn, you can create an .iso file for the disc, and then copy it across to your device over USB.
