Smart TV calls allow you to connect your cell phone to the television using a feature called Screen Mirroring, which displays the image of your cell phone on your television.

Here's an example of how you can do this on TV Philco (the TV I use in my bedroom) and also with the TV app MidiaCast apk.

By default, the MidiaCast Philco app is already installed on TV Philco (on other TVs it may have a different name). You don't need to install any apps on your Android phone.

What's Miracast?

Mirror Android device screen to Smart TV (TV must support Wireless Display / Miracast).

How to use Miracast?

Then tap "Wireless Display" to enter a setup page. Toggle "Wireless Display" to ON and it will scan for nearby Miracast devices. Within a minute, the name of your Miracast adapter should appear. Either your device will connect, or the Miracast adapter will prompt you for the PIN code on your TV or projector. After connecting to the adapter, your screen will be mirrored onto your display.

How to setup Smart TV?

Verify whether your Smart TV allows you to run Miracast apps. Then select Apps for your Smart TV by pressing the Menu button. Look for "Miracast", "Screen Casting", or "Wi-Fi Casting".

Miracast is sometimes considered another input rather than an App in and of itself. Choose an input or source. Try "Miracast", "Wi-Fi Casting", or "Screen Casting".

How to setup Miracast dongle?

The dongle or adapter must be plugged into an open HDMI input port on your TV, projector, or monitor, then the USB cable from the device must be plugged into a wall outlet or TV. Data is not transferred by these USB cables, they just provide power to the adapter. Turn on your TV display and select the appropriate input on the adapter.
