In the near future, this game's primary hosting will move to Itch.io, a website dedicated to sharing independent games!
Itch provides me with a number of better tools that will make updates easier and also make it easier to offer older versions of the game for download. Also, this forum page is likely to be dormant/archived to reduce the number of things I have to handle. In the meantime, join Discord for the most up-to-date information. I'll make a more formal announcement soon.
How can you benefit from becoming a patron?
It has taken me over 500 hours to make over 650 frames of animation for the player character alone, and several hundred more to write the game's code to bring it to its current state (alpha v0.6.1 at the time of this page's launch). Since I've been fortunate enough to have a composer and a couple of peers help with parts of the game, I'd like to be able to hire artists and animators to help with its creation! Without that, the income from a Patreon page would allow me to spend more time developing this game and less time working a regular job. I must provide a disclaimer: Ultimately, my first commitment will still be to my studies, at least for the year that I have left. Since my major is game design and animation, I can certainly put that time back into improving the overall quality of the game! After my degree has also been completed, I will be able to devote my full attention to Project G.L.U.T.T.
What are the game's goals?
The first thing I want to do is flesh out the game mechanics, including adding proper movement momentum, melee combat, improving stealth, and reworking the vore system to make it much more versatile and useful. I also hope to add an upgrade system to both player weapons and perks and abilities once the core mechanics are ironed out. The development of several new enemies, power-ups, and levels will follow/follow along with that. Depending on the state of the game at this point and the support for it, I would prepare it for a full 1.0 release on a platform like Steam and put a lot more effort into polishing what already exists and, more importantly, adding a full story campaign.
