It is the ninth game in the King of Fighters franchise and the second game was created by Elith and developed by Palmore (formerly Brezazoft). The game was placed in Dreamcast, PlayStation 2 and Xbox, with the PS2 and Xbox versions released in North America in a two-in-one bundle with the following game, King F Fighters 2003 series. Nona's character came back from the back to do the graphics.
